I put my artistic endeavors aside during college and grad school, focusing on my
academic and literary ambitions. After filing my dissertation I couldn’t
contain myself any more and started creating digital illustrations for my blog,
later moving on to black and white pen brush work, and for the last three +
years have returned to watercolor, no longer the intimidating medium I found it
as a teenager. This past year I have had the good fortune to work on several large commissions, including doing the chapter heading illustrations for the book Mathematics for Human Flourishing by Francis Su, now out from Yale University Press.
